Education Professional Background

Born in Massachusetts and raised in New Hampshire, John received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Boston College. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Realty, he gained 20-years+ in-depth experience leading sales, marketing, public relations and corporate communications efforts at publicly-traded companies such as JPMorgan Chase, Convera and Teleglobe. His 8 years at JPMorgan Chase provided him with great exposure to the mortgage and real estate industry.

Personal

John has strong communication and leadership skills and is extremely motivated, proactive and highly responsive. He is detail-oriented, has a high sense of urgency and possesses strong time and project management skills. He is a fast thinker with good judgment and decisiveness, and has a high level of integrity and ethics. He also has a good sense of humor and enjoys working with a diverse range of people and personality types.

John purchased his first single family home in Chevy Chase, DC in 1997 (during the economic downturn when home prices were low) before moving in 2005 to loft-style condo living in Adams Morgan (where he serves as vice president on his condo association's board). Since moving to DC in 1993, John also has resided in Cleveland Park, Dupont Circle, Mount Pleasant and Penn Quarter, and in prior professions has worked at offices based in Dupont Circle and McPherson Square, as well as Dulles, Reston and Tysons Corner, VA.

In his spare time, John enjoys photography, travel, writing and arts/entertainment. He has travelled to nearly 30 countries and lived in Kuwait for three years following the first Gulf War. John remains active in his community by publishing Twitter's @AdamsMorganNews and by regularly assisting with the fundraising efforts of his neighborhood charities Mary's Center and Sitar Arts Center.
